Robert and Cindy Friezo had the honor of attending the 32nd anniversary gala for the New World Symphony. The event was held Saturday, February 8th and the theme was “A World of Difference.” The Friezo’s have been involved with NWS for many years and have attended this event in the past.

This year, more than 1,100 New World Symphony alumni were honored. They are among those making a difference in ensembles in over 30 countries. The evening was sponsored by Miami Cancer Institute, Bacardi, Total Wine & More and Power Collective, with proceeds directly benefiting NWS’s mission of ‘preparing young musicians for careers in professional orchestras, while providing meaningful cultural programs to the South Florida community.’

Columbian artist Federico Uribe showcased an exhibition of his art. There was also a special performance by NWS Fellows and 12 alumni, led by NWS Co-Founder and Artistic Director, Micheal Tilson Thomas.
